Madheghat is 62 kilometers west of Pune It is at the rear of Rajgad Fort and Torna Fort Madhe Ghat is the backwater end of Bhatghar Dam The original name of this waterfall is Lakshmi waterfall and this waterfall is at a height of 850 meters above sea level.The area is full of dense forest and various medicinal plants.
The locality holds a special place in history because when Tanaji Malusare fought the battle at Sinhagad, Madhe Ghat was used to carry his body to his village in Poladpur for his last rites.From here there is a wide view of Varandha Ghat and Shivtharghal as well as Jawli Valley.
Further Ghat waterfall is about 150 feet high but every Saturday and Sunday high quality rappelling training is provided here through Team Living the Adventures.
